Palm Beach Baseball Umpire Association, Inc.
The act became law in Florida September 2005 . It requires all vendors and individuals who contract with district school boards and as a result are given access to school grounds when students are present to be fingerprinted and undergo a criminal background screening. Those individuals who are found to have committed crimes of "moral turpitude" must be denied access to school grounds.
CONTEST OFFICIALS ARE NOT EXEMPT FROM THE LAW'S PROVISIONS.
MUST be done through the Palm Beach County School Board by everyone, including police officers, FBI, etc. School Board employees do this when hired and are not required to do again if they officiate.
Click on the attached info for procedures for the Jessica Lundsford Act - Fingerprinting and Background check (Effective August 1, 2022). This is required for all sports officials in Palm Beach County.
Cost for Fingerprinting is $87.42 every Five (5) years. Badges are good for Five (5) years.
FINGER PRINTING is no longer done at the school board. You can pick up your badge there, but must work through the website. Very important, use the instructions provided below.
